YR Media is seeking a curriculum designer for a multimedia content series and accompanying set of toolkits centering the voices of young people experiencing virtual education amid COVID-19. This initiative will impact students and educators living in this historic moment by:
● Increasing the share of youth voices and underrepresented issues in the national conversation with a strong focus on student wellbeing, pre-conditions for learning and the importance of emotional/relational support.
● Equipping educators with youth-driven learning toolkits and resources for engaging students.
We’re looking for an experienced curriculum designer with a proven track-record producing educationally sound, equity-driven, visually compelling and nuanced digital learning resources. This is a Part Time opportunity working up to 12hr/week to create 8 toolkits that tap youth insights into what they need right now from their teachers who are working to support students’ social and emotional well-being through this unprecedented 2020-21 academic year. The designer will disseminate these toolkits through YR Media’s own channels and carry out outreach to build engagement with diverse educator communities nationwide.
