Gerald “Whiz” Ward II is a Contract Administrator for FX Network’s Business Affairs team where he plays an integral role in coordinating the business needs of the Development, Creative, and Legal departments for FX Productions. With over 20 years of experience working in media, Whiz began in his teens as a student at YR Media (then known as Youth Radio) himself, helping to contribute to our organization winning its first Peabody Award. He has since worked in various formats, including radio, film, and television. Along with other YR Media alumni he is a founding member of the music collective the Honor Roll Crew and has helped to shepherd the release of rap, soul and electronic projects under their independent banner. A proud graduate of YR Media’s Core class of fall 1996, he believes media can be a bridge between hearts and minds and a tool to create positive change for individuals and communities.
