At YR Media, young content creators build technical skills and professional portfolios, gain confidence, and share their perspectives and creativity with national audiences. About 99% of our students say that YR Media has taught them a new skill that they are excited to master, and that they had the opportunity to create something meaningful for themselves or their community. Our focus is on voices from underrepresented communities, BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and others left out of the mainstream narrative.
What We Can Do For Your Students
We can help your students gain new skills in journalism, podcasting, audio and video production, and design. We also offer a comprehensive support system to help ensure their success in our programs, at school, and in their lives, including case management, mental health services, access to free nutrition, and academic advising.
