Watch : "Bridging Generations: A Dialogue Between Pioneers and the Press of Tomorrow”

Bridging Generations was more than an event; it was a celebration of YR Media's rich history and a testament to our commitment to amplifying diverse voices. The success of the evening leaves us inspired and motivated to continue creating spaces for meaningful conversations.

This special evening not only celebrated YR Media's remarkable 30-year journey but also marked the grand opening of our new hub in Chicago.

Expertly moderated by CEO of YR Media, Kyra Kyles, the discussion brought together a panel of Chicago-based media professionals including Emmy-award winning journalist and television host, Brandon Pope; national speaker, journalist and “Stop Waiting for Perfect” author, L'Oreal Thompson Payton; and YR.Media Midwest Hub contributor Noah Johnson for a thought provoking conversation on their challenges and triumphs while working to navigate the media industry.

YR Media Board of Directors and Midwest Advisory Council member, MTV’s Dometi Pongo, kicked off the night with celebratory remarks.

As we reflect on the event's success, we're reminded of the core values that drive YR Media — a passion for our mission, a commitment to innovation, and the unwavering belief in the power of diverse storytelling.

Here's to 30 years of YR Media, to the pioneers who paved the way, and to the bright future ahead. Thank you for being an integral part of our journey.

Stay tuned for more exciting events and initiatives as we continue to amplify youth voices and shape the narratives of tomorrow.
