It is with heavy hearts that we share our condolences with the family of our YR Media community member and YR star alum, Angus Cloud, best known for his incredible, award-worthy portrayal of Fezco “Fez” O’Neill in Max’s hit drama “Euphoria.” His untimely death at the age of 25 leaves a void in our hearts and the Oakland arts community.

During his time at YR Media, Angus made a lasting impact on our community and the people he helped inspire.

Longtime YR Media community member Noel California has fond memories of Angus, who he met while attending the YR Media Education program back in 2016. Noel describes Angus as a genuine, down-to-earth creative who had an ear for music and an eye for captivating visuals.

“He was really talented and he was just so Oakland,” said California, an award winning filmmaker and writer. “If you know, you know Oakland creatives are different and we carry that vibe with us.

I remember him being very into visual arts, and always involved with the camera in some capacity so, I wasn’t surprised when he ended up in front of one. He was an individual, unique… he will definitely be missed.”

As we remember Angus, let’s also reflect on the importance of mental health awareness. He openly shared his struggles, reminding us that no one should fight battles alone. In honor of his legacy, let’s continue to advocate for awareness and encourage more conversations about mental well-being.
